Social media can be frustrating for many eCommerce store owners because you think you don’t have the time or the creativity to keep up with it, given how many platforms there are.
Social media is, however, incredibly important as it’s a free way to direct more customers to your store to buy from you.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be time consuming either and you don’t need to be a marketing wizard to communicate with your customers in a meaningful way.
So how can you use social media for eCommerce with limited time?
Here are our Top 5 Free Social Media Tools for eCommerce:
Canva
Canva is arguably one of our favourite tools at Studioworx for creating simple but eye-catching designs that are suitable for social media.
And the best thing of all? There is a brilliant free plan that comes with thousands of free templates, images, video elements and more so you can design without being a designer.
It has a simple drag and drop editor where you can easily resize images, add and change text and then download for use on social media or even in print quality.
Pixabay
If Canva doesn’t have the exact image, video clip or audio for your creative, Pixabay has one of the largest collections of free stock assets anywhere on the internet.
You can simply use the search function to type in any kind of image or video clip you’re looking for and download for free commercial use.
Grammarly
If you’re writing blog posts, Grammarly is a great tool that will do everything that Word does in terms of checking spelling, grammar and punctuation as well as more.
It can also help you rephrase your sentences to make them more concise as well as advising on the tone of your content as to whether you’re sounding formal or friendly.
Hootsuite
Once you’ve used all of the above tools to create your blog content or social media posts, you’re going to need to schedule them which takes time.
With a free Hootsuite account, you can connect up to three social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, Instagram & Twitter) to schedule all of your social media posts over the course of a week or longer.
Getting multiple posts scheduled at once without having to log in to individual social media platforms will save you a lot of time so you can focus on your business.
Google Analytics
It’s likely you already have Google Analytics installed on your website so that you can track sales and revenue but it can also be used to track social media performance.
Whilst all social media platforms have an analytics tool, they generally only relate to what’s happening on your pages in terms of likes and shares whereas Analytics does much more.
You can track the flow of users visiting your website as well as whether users from social media made a purchase and how much they spent.
